Default could only happen to me

purchased a 2010 ezgo freedom rxv from a dealer a few days ago. When I registered it, I found out it was a 2009. The dealer apologized and said to bring it back and he would give me a 2010. My question: is there a no brain way to be sure its a 2010 other than the serial number? I believe the guy has made a honest mistake but I don't want to take any chances at this point. Oh and I know I should have looked but I just didn't think about it not being a 2010 and all the paper work said 2010....like I said..... it could only happen to me.?

They're the same cart, get the dealer to cough up a discount or some custom mods like extended warranty, wheels/tires, lights or other accessories.

Thats a good suggestion Doug but I have heard the 2010 RXV has several improvements to some field problems that the 2009 and 2008 was having. Battery #3 fixed with a converter or reducer and I believe they also improved the solenoid problems. Not positive about that so if someone knows something different please post.

I'm not super familiar with the RXV but I think all the issues were resolved after the 2008 models were modified with new brake solenoids and the converters for the headlights.
There are some Ezgo pros out there that will likely pipe up.
Send a quick PM to rabbitreborn, I think he's up to speed on these.

Actually there were some 2009 carts made prior to the improvements, however, all you would have to do is take the cart to a legit E-Z-GO dealer and the updates would be covered under "recall". I agree with having the dealer you purchased it from cough up some extra "bling" and simply keep the '09.
