CRK, your cart should be a 48v series cart. I don't know much about the v glide thing, somebody will know. What does your charger look like? Should be a round plug with 3 prongs and say powerdrive on it.

There is no cheap upgrade you can do to gain speed or torque. You must upgrade controller and/or motor to do that. It should run pretty well just stock with a good batt pack...
