Discontinued Parts!
Hi Everybody, I'm new to the forum and have a new to me 2000 Carryall 272. Prior to purchasing the machine, I noticed that the differential lock cable was missing. Unfortunately it's not going to be as easy as just replacing the cable to get this feature working.
After opening the rear end, it appears that the COG that slides to make it lock is missing. Also the teeth on the plate that the COG locks into are missing. So someone previously broke it and rather then repairing it, just removed the broken pieces. It drives just fine, however, no locking differential, which is a nice feature to have. After looking through the parts diagram, it appears that the 2 pieces I need are: 102019901 102020001 However, after speaking with the local Club Car dealer, I have been advised that these parts have been discontinued. Does anyone know a source for used, aftermarket or NOS parts? Are there parts from any other models that would/could work? I appreciate any help....thanks! |

Check with David @ Revolution Golf Cars (TahoeDawgZ71)
He will be able to tell you if it's just an updated part number, or he may have them used |

Re: Discontinued Parts!
Thanks for taking the time to check into it for me. I'm actually quite disappointed with Club Car for discontinuing parts on a machine that is really not that old. But what it is, it is.

Re: Discontinued Parts!
I understand. When they've been out of production for 10 years they pull the plug when they run out of inventory

Re: Discontinued Parts!
I find that club car is the the hardest cart to find parts for. I have found many parts for my 1980 yamaha's and even my 1972 cushman Golfster. I have been looking for 1974 caroche parts but besides brakes and brake hardware the is not much to be found.

Re: Discontinued Parts!
Is it something you could take to a local machine shop to make the parts?

Re: Discontinued Parts!
Unfortunately it's not something I can take to a machine shop as the only thing I have is the small picture in the parts diagram. I assume a machine shop would need the exact specs to create the part and I'm sure the cost would be very expensive. The original parts are broken and missing so can't even use them for reference.
