Default Serial Number Replacement

Hey all, I've just picked up a club car project for an atv engine swap and the serial number is in rough shape. Is it okay for me to restamp the number into a piece of aluminum and rivet on in the factory location? This cart is going to be used around the town I live in and I don't want to have any problems....Thanks in advance.

Welcome to BGW flareside!

Yes it's fine to redo a serial number plate, and I'm happy you even considered it!
it's amazing how many people just remove them, and don't care about future complications!

Kudos to you!

I just thought of something...
IF... (in the event) your town needs more verification, take a really good picture of the original tag and keep it with the cart for proof!
