When the ML3 is unplugged the XCT reverts to normal mode only.

The motor will not spin above the set limit if the pole selection is correct. The motor may not reach the limit for several reasons like poor throttle signal or battery health. The motor may also not reach the set rpm limits by design meaning it is designed to operate at a lower rpm than the setting. This is often the case with a high torque motor.

For a 500a control change only the following settings from default.

In mode 1 (aka normal) set
motor armature amps 300
regan amps at 75
throttle rate at 30
reverse at 30
rpm limit of 2400
turf mode no turbo
throttle rate 35%

In mode 2 (aka user 1) set
motor armature amps 400
regan amps at 50
throttle rate at 40
reverse at 40
rpm limit of 3400
turf mode & turbo on
throttle rate 45%

In mode 3 (aka user 2) set
motor armature amps 500
regan amps at 0
throttle rate at 50
reverse at 50
rpm limit of 6000
street mode & turbo on
throttle rate 50%

For a 400a controller set max
motor armature amps 240/300/400

For a 500a controller with a stock motor set
motor armature amps 240/320/450
Made all the settings as above. Still not right.

I have attached several saved run logs.

I was doing a little testing and I changed user 1 to be 6000 rpm max too.

when I did, I could run about 4900 rpm in both user1 and user 2 keyed position.

Something is definately wrong with this controller/ML3 setup.

It may be user error or installer error. I just want to fix it.

That is a mountain of data. Can you give me the settings for each of the monitor files you want analyzed? It is critical to know what the rpm limit is set to in each file and what the armature amperage is set to in each also

Scotty, when you refer to "Regen Amps" in the above suggested settings is that the Max regen Battery amps?

the settings for each mode are exactly what you posted. the files are named Monitor-n for normal, Monitor-1 for user 1, and Monitor-2 for user 2.

Monitor -a,b,c each are all three modes in one. I started in mode1 and switched to mode2 and then to mode3. All switched on the fly. I just did it 3 times. Hence -a,-b,-c.

Here are your settings

In mode 1 (aka normal) set
motor armature amps 300
regan amps at 75
throttle rate at 30
reverse at 30
rpm limit of 2400
turf mode no turbo
throttle rate 35%

In mode 2 (aka user 1) set
motor armature amps 400
regan amps at 50
throttle rate at 40
reverse at 40
rpm limit of 3400
turf mode & turbo on
throttle rate 45%

In mode 3 (aka user 2) set
motor armature amps 500
regan amps at 0
throttle rate at 50
reverse at 50
rpm limit of 6000
street mode & turbo on
throttle rate 50%

You might have a bad switch.
Can you set the cart back to no ML3 and send the switch back to me?

Its funny you say this. I had reached out to Altrax this week for a field mapping for the B2 motor. Ron Mann has been working with his engineers to help me out.

He sent me an email today and he remoted in to my computer and looked at my controller. I operated the ML3 switch for him as he requested and he said he was going to contact you and talk about how the switch is wired because he said it is switching from normal to user1 but when I go from user1 to user2 nothing changes.

so he thinks either the switch could be bad or maybe the wiring. When he talks to you, if he determined it was the switch or wiring, he was going to ask you to send me a new one next week. I was going to call him back on the 17th and we were going to resume the troubleshooting.

I will be leaving for longbeach on Monday and will not be back home and able to mess with the cart until the 17th. (2 weeks from today)

How would I set it back to no ML3?

Do I need a RMA or what? Where do I send it to?

I can pull it today and send in the morning.
