Default Curtis controller reprogram

Hi guys,

I'm wanting to convert from 36 to 48v.

I have a 2003 TXT, HD FnR, stock motor. Curtis model: 1205M-5605 36-48v
4g wire with uncut 2g waiting to be made.
I know I need a solenoid.
My question is do I need to have my Curtis controller reprogrammed?

Edited after pulling my head out..... No reprogramming should be required. But if it doesn't immediately work, it won't be harmed.

Thank you so much for responding. If it doesn't immediately work, will that be a sign that it needs it?

I'm pretty pumped to get some needed help to turning these 23" tires.

Yes, a problem like max expected voltage exceeded, but would just be an adjustment, no harm
