I have a ezgo series motor that the stud has broke off, it broke off from the inside of the casing.

How can I fix this?

You should be able to order new brushes.

As long as it's on a rotor stud. If it's a stator stud, you can look for an automotive alternator/motor repair shop.

Okay, Thanks

I'm new to all of this. I got this on a trade and trying to get it running.
The brushes are good I believe, it just broke of when taking of the cable with minimum force.

You have to use two wrenches.

Unfortunately I realized that after I took it off. lol

Would I need to take it in to a electrical mechanic to have a stud put back on or would this be a easy fix? The motor worked well before, I was just replacing all the cables in the cart.

You need to answer the question about which stud is broke. Then we can help you better. If it's the stud on the end cap A1-A2 where the bearing is on the motor/the brushes stud?. Or if it is a stud in the metal case of the motor field studs?. If it is a stud on the end cap A1-A2 you can fix it. If it's the stud in the metal case you have to take it to a shop. Post some pics if you can

I doubt you could fix it yourself if it's one of the stators, but as previously mentioned, a replacement brush assembly will take care of the rotor studs.

You can buy a brush kit and take the motor apart and fix that your self. It's not that hard.

You can only try this if the broken stud is NOT spinning in the motor case.

One member did this fix. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS. But he did it and said it worked.
