Debugging 2006 ezgo txt electrical aka cart won’t go
Batteries are charged. 36.7v at the moment.
Key switch is good and shows Same voltage when on. F/R switch is where I’m confused. Center pin shows 1.5v when in neutral. When I move to f or r I have .29v on the two pins. Is that drop expected? Sure seems suspect. Solenoid is not clicking at all. I tested voltage on the battery side and it’s 36.7v. 36.2v on the controller side. I’ve been going through the ezgo troubleshooting on carts unlimited and this is where I’m at now. I’d appreciate any help or suggestions if you have them. |

Uuum, 36.7 volts is kinda dead. Though manufacturer dependent, a 6 volt battery that is happy is 6.37 volts. Start by telling us a little background. Is this a new to you cart? Is this a new symptom? What drive type do you have?

Re: Debugging 2006 ezgo txt electrical aka cart won’t go
Symptom started last fall. I pulled the cart into the garage and next day it was dead. Nothing different between the two days. Cart was great up to that point. Been sitting in the garage all winter off and on the charger. I just plugged it back in but didn’t want it in the charger as I was testing.
It’s a sepex/PDS. Looks like a stock controller and solenoid though I believe they were replaced in 2017 before I bought it. I had seen a lot of scottyb’s posts, didn’t realize things had gone sour? Anyway, on the controller A1 is .5v less than pack B- matches pack B+ shows .5v less than pack Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Debugging 2006 ezgo txt electrical aka cart won’t go
No worries. I lurk here and there but haven’t been on much since I bought my cart in 2017 so I really had no idea. I would’ve taken your word for it.
I do have it charging again but the issue remains. Cart was over 38v when I started this last fall and still didn’t move so I don’t believe it to be a voltage problem. I’m just trying to determine if it’s controller, solenoid or something else. So odd for it to be toast after pulling in the garage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Bumping this. Does anyone know what the voltage should be on the center pin of the F/R rocker switch? Or have an opinion on why it goes from 1.5 down to .29 when flipped from neutral to F or R?

Re: Debugging 2006 ezgo txt electrical aka cart won’t go
The micro switches on the F&R should be pack voltage. Which as mentioned should be 38.something for testing. It is very bad for lead acid batteries to be left in a state of discharge. 46.something - doing so for months can kill the batteries...
2 important things here > see that there is 36v going to the F&R micro switch on the drivers side of the cart. And see if the battery pack voltage drops when you try to go (drive) |

Thank you Scotty - Pack voltage is not impacted when key is on, switch forward and cart in run mode and pedal depressed. Keyswitch is pack voltage but switch is not. I have ordered a new F/R switch to try that. Hoping something else isn’t wrong that might fry another switch if that is the problem. To your point on the batteries being discharged, it was a week or less that the charger was unplugged. Otherwise the batteries stay on the charger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Sepex cart should have pack voltage on the center wire of the fnr when all is working. I have attached a wiring diagram.
