Both the rivet nut and the frame are steel. You can tac-weld the exposed edge of the rivet nut to the frame to prevent it from spinning. I would tac-weld it twice, opposite of one another, to ensure that the weld does not fail in the future.

So joining this tread because I am new to this and I’m doing the same thing. So I’m assuming the Curtis 1236-5301 350a controller will not work for this upgrade

Your right it takes the Curtis 1206AC-5350 or the 1206AC-5360 350amp controller.
