Question Wheel noise

My EZGO is makes a disturbing knocking noise. It is coming from the driver side rear wheel area when the cart is in motion. There are times when the noise does not occur but I can not correlate a specific driving condition to it. Can anyone identify a cause for the knocking noise and suggest how to fix it?

Does it go away when you swerve in one direction or the other? Stock EZGo hubs are known for wearing out. Or it could be an axle bearing.

Sometimes the noise stops when turning either direction.

I snuggled up the axle today and the knocking noise has stopped, for now anyway. I will keep this thread posted.

The ezgo axle nut should be torqued to 140#

Yikes. "Snuggled"? Course "snuggled" to one man might be 200 foot-pounds to another? Just don't "snuggle" your battery terminals.

Check the other three as well.
