Lightbulb Cart takes off by itself

I purchased a ‘94 EZGO Marathon a few weeks ago. This week, it started jerking badly on take off then ran fine. Did some research and de used it had a bad solenoid. So I hit up my local supply shop and bought a new solenoid, diode and resistor. When I removed the old solenoid, I noticed there was no resistor. Doesn’t look like this solenoid has ever been replaced based on the thick layer of rust and grime. So I put all three new parts on which, in my opinion, should have been an easy switch out. However, now the cart just takes off the second the brake is off. No need to even touch the pedal. I thought maybe it wasn’t supposed to have a resistor and took that off. No luck. It still immediately takes off without hitting the gas pedal. I am 100% sure that I put everything back the way it was. Any ideas are very much appreciated. Thank you!

If I remember correctly from my Marathon there is a microswitch in the throttle linkage. You may have knocked it out of adjustment replacing parts.
