Battery Charging Problems
My EZGO 36V batteries read 36.1V as a Pack. Individually, they read either 5.7 or 5.8 volts. I purchased a new charger (FORM 18 AMP EZGO TXT Battery Charger for 36 Volt Golf Carts -"D" style plug).
When I first plug it in, the Red & Green lights both come on, indicating charging. However, after about 3-4 minutes, it begins to emit clicking noises. Is it possible that, even though I'm getting solid readings from the batteries individually, as well as a Pack, that I have crossed the two black cables, coming from the Controller, on the + and - posts? When I connect the cable to the Neg (-) post, it sparks quite a bit. Any input is sincerely appreciated. I've been having issues now for a while, and would like to get this project behind me! Thanks! |

Re: Battery Charging Problems
Those readings are not solid, use this chart as a guide.
Others should chime in about the charger. |
