Motor service
Is there a kit available to do a motor service. New brushes bearing and instructions on anything else to do while you have it apart. I have a 2000 txt 36v that has been run hard and put up wet and I just want to get it up to snuff as best as I can.

Re: Motor service
The "motor service" done properly actually cant be done by the "home gamer". The motor commutator should be cut smooth & have the segment gaps properly cleared. That requires a armature lathe.
If your car's worn out 80k miles brakes needed new pads, would you just "slap on some new pads", or would you have the rotors cut smooth on a brake lathe (or consider new rotors if they're too thin)? Same theory applies in your cart motor. Guess the rest is up to you. |
