Default Yamaha motor on 36v series EZGO

I have access to a 19 spline admiral motor from a yamaha. PN, MOT-D2.
My cart is a 35v series. I know normally I couldn't use it. But I'm currently upgrading to a navitas controller 440 amp. I plan to upgrade to 48v next. But this motor is a good price. Can I use it?

Yamaha motors have the same spline/fitment as EZGO's....and are interchamable. so go for it.

You cannot run that Sepex motor on your Series ezgo.

OK, cool. 1 more question if you don't mind. Once I change my controller to a Navitas. What is preventing me from doing that? New controller. New relay. New F/R switch and contactor. What makes my car permanently a series cart?

Just about all the stuff between the battery pack's output and the differential's input.

The controller and motor must both be the same drive type.
The wiring harness must connect the various switches to the controller.
The Heavy cables must connect the battery pack to the controller and motor. (Sepex controller does the F/R task, so fewer cables needed)

The pedal switch, ITS sensor and solenoid are common to both drive systems.

It can be done, but it needs quite a bit of rewiring.

oops....this is true.....I was just talking about the FITMENT....not the actual compatibility between series and sepex....I figured you already knew that.

Navitas I believe can be used with either series or sepex but never seen one.
