EZGO lock up
I was driving my 36 volt EZGO on a paved road, had my foot on the gas and suddenly the rear wheels completely locked up so abruptly that it even made the tires squeal on the pavement. After this initial lock up, the wheels were able to move freely but the cart will not move when I try to press the pedal. I can hear the click when I press the pedal but nothing happens.
In my highly unprofessional opinion, I thought it must be the motor judging by the way it just locked and now wont move. The motor was extremely hot and I had only been driving the cart for less than an hour. I trailored the cart home. The next day, I came out and put it on the charger. I checked it an hour later and it smelled weird, the motor was hot and the wire for the charger was also hot. Anyone have any ideas on what is wrong and how I can fix it? |
