The few brain cells I have left get confused when the cart type or drive type gets changed in a thread.

Yes, the fill hole is the correct fluid level for a TXT.

Overfilling a little doesn't hurt.

I use synthetic 75W-90 gear oil and pump it in with the pan tilted so I get about 12 Oz instead of 10 Oz using a hand pump similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/Slippery-Pete...s%2C183&sr=8-3

I have something similar to pump gear oil in outboard motor lower units, you fill them from the bottom until it runs out the upper hole.

Good info ... I am getting ready for the same job. Fully agree with the 75-80
or 75-90 gear oil instead of the 30 wt motor oil recommended by EZ-GO(see below).
Question: So do you lift the cart in the back as high as possible and pump in the oil as this lets you put in 12 oz? I heard of people raising the front until the cover is level and then installing it WITH the fluid in the cover as they install it.

1. So do you lift the cart in the back as high as possible and pump in the oil as this lets you put in 12 oz?

2.I heard of people raising the front until the cover is level and then installing it WITH the fluid in the cover as they install it.
1. I put an eye-bolt in the bagwall and lifted the rear with a chain fall attached to a shade tree. Lifted it high enough to attach pan and fill comfortably with no particular attention paid to pan angle since it was obvious to me it would hold more than it would had it been level, but not enough to get into axle tube and run out the brake drums.

2. More than one way to skin a cat. Whatever works for you.

Hang 'em high!

I can't do that because of the rear seat installed. I just raised the rear with my long reach, high lift floor jack to about 25 degrees and was able to get 18.5 oz. in there before it started running out. Put the plug back in and done. Next I am going to make a plug with a magnet on it for the cover.
