Default Re: Transaxle Ques??

I dont have a torque wrench, should I just snug the crown bolt to the hub and then go a little more until the holes line up? Also how many foot pounds of torque should I go to if I get a torque wrench? Can I over tighten the bolt?
Thanks for your info.....

Default Belt Question....

Ok got another question, I got a 1997 EZ GO with a 28 Degree Comet Clutch, 23HP Briggs engine, with a 2004 Workhorse MPT 1200 gas rear end. I got huge mudding tires, and plenty of low end torque. I want to change my belt and try to get a little less torque and more top end (top end now is 25mph, red line approx 30mph) The belt that I have now is EX Go 14153G1. Also my engine is all the way forward, and when I crusing at top speed the belt does not go all the to the top of the rear clutch, its about an 1" down, if it goes more to the end of the clutch will I get more top end?

The belt on the rear clutch should be going towards the center at max speed not out.
