Default "Club Car Precedents are junk"?

I just spoke to a used Club Car dealer and he says he will only deal in DS models. He says the Precedents (4) 12v batteries only last two years, they are hard to find accessories for, and they had the recall problem. I was going to go look at a remanufactured Precedent tomorrow. Should I take this dealers advice and avoid Precedents? What do y'all think? He'll put me in a 2005 DS w/ '05 (6) 8 volt batts., rear seat, lights, and molded color body color of my choice for $3100. How's that sound. About the cheapest I've seen around here.

He might not be an authorized dealer if the company knew what he was spreading around.

just so ya know.......

05 DS wholesale ; @ $1600
Rear seat : @ $300
light kit : $150 to $300 (depends on turn sigs. and brake lights)
Aftermarket body @ $400 (depends on who and where)

the rest you decide from there

the 05 batteries from a probable fleet cart will most likely be no good now or real soon

I have a ds and a precedent, love'm both. I'm about to buy a new set of 12v for the precedent...I'll let you know in 2yrs. The recall was 04...I think. I'd get more opinions and go with what you like.

Right - I think it was a BATTERY issue in 2004, not a CART issue

Some had OBC problems and had to be replace.I have changed several of these. They would not fully charge the batteries.
