Default 89 fuel line issue

I have air locks in my fuel lines. I take the line off at the carb, pump the fuel til it's a steady flow then put er back on. Within 10 min. i am no longer moving and have to do the procedure all over again. I replaced the lines, the carb and removed the filter to run a direct line from the tank to the pump to eliminate possible air leaks. Any ideas? Fuel pump? It pumps but not real hard. Thanks

I would check the pick-up tube in the tank. If it has even a small crack in it, it will give you an air lock. Like sucking through a broken straw. Could also be a small crack in the diaphram in the pump. Not likely but not impossible either.

Check your lines... you have a leak. That walbro style pump will never make more than 7 psi pressure... when it's new maybe. 4 psi used. Vacuum style pumps work better in volume , not pressure. You have a line leaking that's sucking air somewhere. I have seen plastic fuel filters seams leak.
