I have another charger on the way...I will try it out tomorrow after church and report back.

I ran through the obc reset procedure and hooked up another charger to my cart. It still never shut off. Also, the battery light on the dash has never operated, and trust me...I have run it low enough with the old batteries to make it come on. Could a bad obc cause the battery indicator light not to operate?

Did you ever check the batteries that is 1st thing to do ....... worry about the *** obc after you know there is not a weak battery in the pack telling the obc not to shut off!

All of it ..... WIthout a digital voltmeter and the SG tester you are probably better off taking the cart to a shop.... Every electric cart owner who wants to do their own maintenance or troubleshooting needs to own these tools.

Where might I purchase a hydrometer?

At any autoparts house. THe best ones are temperature compensating . They are fairly inexpensive. 6-$15.00 ... A good multifunction Digital voltage meter will run $45 at Home Depot or such


Bottom line is until you can rule out a battery problem you are just guessing. That is what a GC tech would do

Battery maint. sheet, Charge/Specific gravity sheet, Digital Meter and SG tester.

Alright guys, I charged the batteries all day and the battery charger never shut off (again). I let the batteries settle down for an hour and here are the results...

sg All specific gravities were greater than 1.3.

I checked that batteries again 1 hour later and here are the numbers

voltage---8.84---8.78---8.83---8.86---8.87---8.86----52.9

Does this seem normal?
