stripped brake hub
okay I gotta quick question. Yesterday my cart quit pulling and now I gotta whirrr when I hit the pedal. I jacked the cart up and took off the wheels, hit the pedal and the nut spins on the drivers side but doesn't spin on the passenger side. Is this common or should the nut spin on the passenger side also and I have something else wrong? Thanks guys, gotta get back up and running soon since the CAW ride is coming up real quick. BOKE

Re: stripped brake hub
That is the way it should work. The cart is a single pull rear end. Did the hub spin with it are just the nut? If just the nut then drivers side hub is gone. The drivers side is the main pulling side of the axle. The passenger side will pull if the drivers side locks down.
This is a normal thing with E-Z-GO'S. Like my PM stated make sure when you reinstall new hub it is tight and I mean tight. Never ever back off the castle nut to install the cotter key! Never! |

Re: stripped brake hub
you need to get a set of andys disc brakes. no more hubs. i bet he would let you pay them off on sort of time payment plan. you send chevy a case a week and he can forward the monies to andy.

Re: stripped brake hub
I don't think a case a week is enough
