Wink Re: stripped brake hub

I also have a set of Club Car disc, E-Z-GO electric and gas kits for the CAW. They will be sold are won haven't decided yet. I may give a set away for the badest, tallest, loudest, cart that shows up. I haven't decided on how to do this. I have so many prizes I don't want one cart winning all of them but to spread it out so everyone gets something out of it.
I'll have all the parts I can bring with me along with my welder now. Man I'm going to need a bigger trailer.

I got a local ezgo dealer about 20 minutes from the house so I called em up to see if they had brake hubs for my cart in stock. They said yep, 20 of em. So then I called my sweetie to see if she'd go get me a set before she went to work. She said yep and she just sent me a text saying there on top of the beer fridge in my shop. I asked her what I owe her and she said don't worry about it. Boy, you gotta love a woman that picks up and pays for parts when you break em!!

Okay, what am I doing wrong? Passenger side castle nut and hub came off fine, but the drivers side castle nut just keeps spinning and I can't lock the axle down from spinning.

Wink Re: stripped brake hub

This is the problem with the hub being striped. There is nothing you can do to hold too to break the nut loose because the hub is stripped out.
You may can take pliers and hold the end of the axile with them enough to breake the nut loose. May or may not work. You will have to chase the threads after doing this.

Last thing is drop cover off rear end and get something to hold the axile with to brake it loose.

I have cut the nut off to get hubs off. Be carefull though or you will be buying a new axile if you cut to deep.
