Re: Really Confused about Intermittent NO GO problem
no, the chip can stay.
after putting the cart in Diagnostic mode, did you put the car in forward and try to drive it? |

Re: Really Confused about Intermittent NO GO problem
No sir, havent tried that, I thought the diagnostic mode would store faults kinda like a obd on a street car, so just put it in diagnostic mode and drive it and listen for beeps right?
thanks JB |

Re: Really Confused about Intermittent NO GO problem
The first 2 beeps told us you have the hill chip in.
Did you try the ITS test agian and see that you got the value the tech told you? If so I think then you have isolated it to the wires or the ITS. |

I just did the test again, and got the values he said i should except I got .09 volts with no pedal input at all, and I think he said I should get .09 after the click then up to 2.9. Anyway its real hard to trouble shoot something thats working...lol JB Last edited by budracer1; 06-26-2011 at 09:31 PM.. Reason: grammar |

Re: Really Confused about Intermittent NO GO problem
no, they don't store fault codes... the fault has to be happening in order for it to register on the controller and alert you to it.

Re: Really Confused about Intermittent NO GO problem
Almost impossible to check while working. You'll only be guessing or swapping parts, which can be costly.
I would get a game plan as to what and where you want to test and carry a Digital meter with me and any tools you'll need when riding. When it fails do your testing. |

Re: Really Confused about Intermittent NO GO problem
Ok here we go again.....Me and my son rode a few laps up and down our street this afternoon, we parked the cart in the driveway while we came in let it sit there for about an hour, I just went out to put it back in the garage and you guessed it.....NO GO!!!
I have checked continuity on the red, black, white and green wires at the ITS as well as continuity of the micor switch and all seems well, interesting tidbit though, my pack checks at 32.0 volts, however each battery independently check 6.4, now thats really confusing but I think thats a seperate issue since the last time I went through this the pack voltage was 38.4. IS there anyone that would be willing to PM me there number and help me diagnose this over the phone? I would be very greatful and I would even pay if need be. thanks in advance JB |

Re: Really Confused about Intermittent NO GO problem
OK nevermind on the pack voltage, Im an idiot who checks negative and negative....
Anyways thanks for all the ideas and help guys, I called Scotty B and he walked me through a few tests and seems the controller which was bound to die anyway is the culprit, So I went ahead and ordered the 808 kit and I will be cruisin again in no time.......without the intermittent failures! thanks again JB |
