I'm confused. If you're referring to 97 fleet(DCS) carts,? that is probably correct.(tow/run)
We have '01 and '04 fleet PDS carts with the run/tow switches on the controllers.... I could misunderstand or misprinted??...It doesn't matter anyway.

Yes, you are. Theres is no such thing as "fleet DCS" or "fleet PDS. The term "fleet" is commonly used to describe a series cart. Your 01 and 04 are PDS type carts.

Okay... I'm still confused.lol: When you refer series cart, does that mean sequential serial numbers like in my fleet?? Or is series something else?
Not trying to be a hole...I like information.
PDS, DCS I understand ...series?

Series as in "Series wound". Armature and Feild are wired in series.

A SEPEX motor like the DCS and PDS carts the armature and feild are "seperately excited". (SEPEX)

I think they were commonly refered to as fleet carts because they were the orig base model that the cart co sold by the millions to the clubs for their golf cart fleet

OK. Thank you very much!...I understand what series refers to and will note this in my database (brain)...I really appreciate you guys answering my "butt-in" question. I had never heard that terminology before, and am trying to understand more of this electrical stuff.roll: That's why I read, ask, but don't try to answer, these electrical questions.

Hey Guys... new to the site. Just bought a 2007 and wanted to verify that it is a PDS. The F/R is located beside the ignition switch and I have the toggle switch you referred to earlier. Also, what should I expect my speed to top out at? Thanks in advance for your help.

2007 F/R switch on dash beside key it's a PDS cart. With the speed setting you can run 18MPH all day on flat ground with stock tires. If it has a lift with 22" or 23" tires expect around 20-21 MPH.

Thanks Andy4639 for your quick reply. I'm only getting about 14-15 mph. Is there anything I can check or change to increase speed?

You would need a "speed chip"
