Build 2010 TXT Freedom (Stereo)
Well,
Picked up chassis and body today. Body being dropped off tomorrow with roof and both roof brackets to be painted black. Going to start dismantle of front to send to a buddy of mine to fiberglass front pockets for 6-1/2 Morel components and flush new Alpine deck where ball holder is. Hoping my JL amp will fit up front under body between the two pockets. Looks like I need to move the charging port over to where the controller is. I need all the space I can get on drivers side for subwoofer. Should be simple for my paint guy. Also need to move factory reducer along with 25 amp reducer I bought to behind the controller. Going to need to build a bracket to hold them. A lot of stuff and not a lot of room. I love a challenge. Here's some pics after new motor and controller installed. Pretty **** fast without all the parts on it. Shane |

Conroe Golf cars did the conversion. It has the following motor and controller:
VC Tech Acter 60Volt Traction Inverter VC Tech Model VCM48 28 Volt Motor It came with a plug in gauge to the controller which displays speed, odometer, etc. Yesterday on a flat surface with all the body panels off it was going 30 MPH on gauge. Not sure how accurate that is but it was moving. Shane |

Re: Build 2010 TXT Freedom (Stereo)
Small update. Factory reducer moved to passenger side and wiring done for other reducer for the stereo. Having a bracket built to mount it along the inside fender flare along with bussman fuse block for accessories. You can see the 4 gauge wire from the batteries along with the 4 gauge wire headed to the front of the cart. I thought I had enough ground wire to go to the front but I didn't so that run isn't there yet. The drivers side well is all free now and I've started on the subwoofer enclosure. Going to be easy. Body is off to paint also. Couple of pics.

Bracket painted and reducer mounted and wired up. Now up to the front.
My thread must really suck since no responses. I really thought some of this would be helpful. S |

One thing you might want to address is weather protection for the reducers and other electronics in front of the wheel wells. The lips on top of the wheel wells do not seal to the bottom of the body when it is in place and water etc. from the rear wheels will sling into the areas where your electronics are. I noticed this when I installed an amplifier in a similar fashion to the way you installed that big reducer. Its not a big problem but since you have the body off ....... |

Update: Plate mounted for JL audio 500/3 amp. Amp is mostly wired. Fuse holder can be accessed once the cup holder is removed. Starting on sub enclosure this weekend and then start glassing the front.
