85 2 stroke surging
i am working on a guys 85 cart it starts up ok but if you hold the pedal at a steady rpm it surges,falls on it's face kinda then takes back off. if you pull the chocke out some it runs fine. i cleaned the carb. compression is 125lbs. any ideas on what it can be? thanks for now!

Check the fuel pump and the impulse line from the crankcase that operates the pump

Sounds like a carb problem or an air leak. Did you completely disassemble the carb and blow carb cleaner through the passages as well as the jets? Is the throttle shaft tight in the carb body, not worn and sloppy?
