1995 ezgo series cart creeping up hills!! please help
I have a 1995 ezgo series 36 volt cart. I purchased the cart this spring and is was needing batteries. I replaced all 6 batteries brand new at one time and the cart goes fine etc. except when I go up hills it creeps!!! and I mean I can walk faster than it goes up inclines. My digital volt guage starts at 37.6 and will go all the way down to like 35.7 volts. Can someone please help me out!! Thanks to all for any help they can give me!!

A 2v drop on a hill is no cause for alarm. If you still have the stock drive system, the problem is the motor is trying to guzzle amperage through a straw.... your controller and cables may be restricting the flow.

Re: 1995 ezgo series cart creeping up hills!! please help
Its normal for it to go that slow up hills though??? Scott this thing flies going down the hills but is almost at a stand still climbing. Whats the best deal on a controller to help it out? I believe I did larger cables when I did the batteries. Im thinking the cables are 4 guage. It was Auto battery cable bought in bulk used to make the cables since my dad ownes a bodyshop.

Electric vehicles do loose speed when they climb hills. A restrictive controller, F&R, or cable set can compound the problem.
Pkg #101 is a 400amp control and 200a HD solenoid for $424 delivered Did you do all the cables to the motor, controller, F&R? |

Yes you need to do them all or it will create a bottle neck effect. Also cables for cars are not made to carry a constant load. They are designed for starting purposes. You need to change those cables out to a high quality welding cable.

I got mine from carts unlimited. Seeing that my cart may never run again they might be for sale.
