Re: Electric EZGO lights are dim.
Does the pos wire and the neg wires go to the battery post??, or are the lights grounded to the frame??

Re: Electric EZGO lights are dim.
Do you have a 12 V battery sitting around anywhere, try hooking them up to one from a car/boat/motorcycle/whatever and see what happens.

Re: Electric EZGO lights are dim.
Make sure you have a good ground. It would be the same as if your car head light was dim. make sure your ground is grounding good.

Quote:
One major difference is that cars typically only have one wire going to each light and use the frame for the return path to the battery. For safety reasons, Cart frames are not connected to the electrical system and all electrically powered accessory items, such as lights and radios, have two wires going to them for power. Another major difference it that cars typically have only one battery and it is next to impossible to have the wrong voltage going to any electrical device that was previously working. Carts have more than one battery connected in series and it is entirely possible to connect accessories to the incorrect voltage. What we have here is a person whose lights were working and now they are very dim. The batteries and some wiring were replaced, so the OP either has high resistance in the connections or contacts or the lights are now miss-wired. (IE: Connected across a single 6V battery instead of two for 12V) For some reason, the OP has yet to follow the very first suggested troubleshooting step (Measure the voltage going to the lights), or has fixed the problem and has yet to provide feedback of success. |
