Re: Help for non-mechanics - digital charge meter
Thanks Scotty.
I wish I had gotten a manual with my cart. I've tried to find one for it, but haven't been sure exactly what to call it, since its been modified. They aren't cheap either. I do know how to check my car fuses and change them! I learn best by people showing me things, but don't know anyone who can do this, besides the golf cart guy, who is very busy. Anyhow.....thanks again. I'll probably order one of those meters soon. |

Read all the Stickies at the top of this forum (Electric EZGO). Lots of good info there. Go to ScottyB's website and read everything he's got there on the care and feeding of batteries. Also good info. Download the three manuals listed at the top of the post listed below. They are the Owner's manual, Service manual and Parts list that covers your cart. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...g-manuals.html Since your cart has been modified physically (Lifted), it may also have been modified electrically, but the wiring will be probably be pretty much the same as stock even though the components are aftermarket. Most likely, the speed controller is the only thing that will have significantly different wiring (IE: Pin numbers on the connectors) than the stock wiring diagram. If you can identify what the aftermarket components are (Model name/number should be on label), we can probably find a wiring diagram or installation guide for it. Your cart (2006 TXT Series) is called a Non-PDS in the manual. Don't worry about asking questions, we all started from scratch to get to where we are now and most of us are still learning. It is obvious from your posts that you know Capitalization and Punctuation, and how to express yourself in clear and concise sentences, so you'll get your questions answered quickly. Also, pictures of the problem area will help. Hope this helps, JohnnieB |
