another voltage question
I have searched forums on this and may have skipped over what I'm looking for but I was wondering, what is an acceptable amount of voltage loss while not in use?? I have this nice digital meter I bought from this fellow most people here know and can't help but study it often. After charging completes and another 10 or 12 hrs. or so it's usually 50.8 or 9 (looks normal right?). Buy the way I rarely dicharge it much at all during use maybe 10% to 30% . After about a week after had been charged it's down to 50.0 or a little less. So I would just start another charge cycle. I have 4 12s 2010 Interstates in a 08 CC DS IQ
Oh and by the way I accidently put this in the ezgo section!! |

Re: another voltage question
OK, thanks. It just seems my batterys should hold a "full" charge longer.

Re: another voltage question
Wet cell batteries self discharge. They will typically loose 1% per day. 7 days = 7%
Shallow discharges and recharges are fine. |

Re: another voltage question
Thanks scottyb, and I figured if you saw anything wrong with those numbers up there you would comment. By the way I get a lot of compliments on the meter, thanks

Re: another voltage question
The meter's cool.
Now you can see what is really happening, makes you aware of little things like self discharge....... it all adds up to longer battery life and improved performance. |

Re: another voltage question
+2 I wish I had one of these a long time ago! Now, I have some idea where my pack is at and whether or not I should attempt some of the sand traps we have here at the river. Thanks Scotty! You rock!
