G1 Parts
I just bought a 1980 G1 a few months ago. Mechanically, it is in great condition. Physically, it was horrid. I mean so bad that there was moss growing on the front cowl. Anyway, I lucked up and found a guy near by that had a G1 that didn`t run and was selling parts. He sold me a new front cowl, a bench seat, and a console piece for $100! I was ecstatic! I repainted it myself and have been working on it. However, I need a few more parts. I need brakes, windshield, tail light cover, choke cable, muffler, and some nice but cheap wheel covers. I`ve got Club Car wheel covers on it and it bothers me. Thanks to whoever took the time to read this! I`m excited to talk to everyone on here and share ideas about carts!

Re: G1 Parts
Can I make a newer Yamaha front cowl fit without any fabricating?

Re: G1 Parts
I dont think it would be a "no fab" project, but it can be done. I've heard of someone on here using a G2 cowl.

Re: G1 Parts
Other front ends can be made to fit, but they will require come fabricating.
Newbylee put a CC front end on his: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-y...your-eyes.html One of my G1's has a G2 front end on it, but it was done before I purchased it. |

Re: G1 Parts
Thanks ya`ll...I like the way that G2 cowl looks. I was thinking about trying to fab a newer front cowl on it though. I want to do it just to have the console in there though. I appreciate the info!
