Default PDS or DCS TXT ?

Just got a 96 ez go cart. Was told it was the TXT. It does have the switch on the cover for run/tow mode. How do I know if it is a PDS or DCS and can I do a chip upgrade on this model for torque?

If it is indeed a '96, it is a DCS cart and the "chips" will not work for it.

The DCS cart will also have the shifter by your leg just like a series cart . The PDS cart is a toggle on the dash for Forward and Reverse.

Look here to find your serial number the plug the number in. In the third pic from the left it shows lifting the seat then lifting the plastic trim up to find the white label on the frame cross member. The drawing is really small and at first you wouldn't think the trim piece lifts up until you actually do it.

Ecoclayton, he will want to see the controller (cover removed), the back of the F/R switch, and the steering rack location.
