Re: club car electric keeps charging
What are the battery voltages getting to? How long can you run the cart. Is it normal run time? If you have one battery with a bad cell you can over charge the others. Just some things to check.

Re: club car electric keeps charging
I just checked and the charger is putting out 60-65 volts and about7-8 amps.
The charger has been on now about 22 hours. |

Re: club car electric keeps charging
The battery voltages are 8.5 volts and the cart runs fine. Can do 18 holes with no problem along with driving approx. 1.5 miles to and from golf course.
I also noticed this evening that the battery indicator comes on and goes off, with the key off. Also the reverse beeper sounds with the key in the off position. |

The buzzer will sound with the key off. That is normal.

After checking out further, I believe that the OBC is the problem. I ordered a new one and will report back when I receive it. Also noticed that the Battery indicator is controlled by the OBC.
Also that the charger kicks in as soon as charger is plugged in. No 2-5 second delay. I will let you all know what happens. |

Re: club car electric keeps charging
Take off the - and + battery cables from the batteries let the cart sit for 10minutes then hook the battery's back up and try to recharge. You can also perform an OBC reset. Also spray the charging port with WD-40 or PB blaster. This will clean the connector ends as well.
