sagging g29
So I finished my g29 build. Has a Jakes 6" spindle lift and also Jakes HD rear springs. My problem is it sags in the rear by about 1-2". not sure if there is a fix for this, but I cant see anything obvious...any ideas

Re: sagging g29
I'm thinking of putting Jake's HD rear springs on mine stock cart. Do you have to take the body off. Thanks

Re: sagging g29
If you like the ride you are getting then you can put longer shackles on. That will help bring up the back end. If it's sagging because the ride is soft, then look at adding a leaf to each spring.

Re: sagging g29
Or add a metal pipe coupler about 1.25-1.5 inches long beneath the spring to act as a spacer to stiffen the preload and eliminate sag. Maybe total cost would be less than 5$

Re: sagging g29
But the sag is not coming from the springs. I just added new Jakes HD rear springs. Its almost like the rear section of the Jakes lift was made to short, and doesnt drop the shock mount down far enough.

Re: sagging g29
Possible that the goal post is a 3" lift instead of the 6" lift.

Re: sagging g29
Just went and measured the goal post. It is dropping the upper shock bolt about 6.5". Maybe its just suppose to be like this. Although mine seems to be sagging more than any other lifted G29 I have seen. I mean, there really is nothing left, the goalpost appears correct, although I dont know exactly what other G29 Jakes 6" goalposts measure, and the springs are brand new Jakes HD. That pretty much decides the ride height. I had to trim quite a bit off the rocker panels for 22" tires to fit. I know the Jakes directions call for this, but I have also read some people dont have to trim at all.
