Club car precedent Curtis 1510 checks
My wife ran over barbed wire with our golf cart a few days ago. She called and said I needed to work on the golf cart when I got home... When I got to the cart I could smell something electrical burning. I found that the pre charge resistor on the solenoid was so hot that it was smoking. It was obviously shorted... So I removed it and started looking for problems. The controller is shorted from b+ to b- but I am not sure if this is the way it's supposed to be or not? It seems like it's not supposed to be since in a schematic that I found b- is common with the negative of the battery pack and b + is common with the positive of the battery pack.. Can someone tell me if this controller is shorted in normal operation or not?

First thing, put the cart I tow and unhook battery cables. Something is pulling power.
