LOL!!!

Don't ya' just love talking to yourself...

I think why most people aren't answering, is because with a gasser,
You can get them to go pretty fast without the $200 + expense!
(I get @32mph without them... that's good enough for me!)

Now granted... high speed gears would, and will work just as they are supposed to,
It doesn't matter what it is... Gas, or Electric... CC, Yami, EZ Go...

But, IMO... it's cheaper to make electrics go faster with JUST the high speed gears,
and a gasser you can make "adjustments" to make them go faster! (Without the expense)

Use the "search" feature... it will give you plenty of info!!!

I have a set in my Carryall. They are 6:1 ratio I bought them because I have to use reverse for forward. I like them alot before I put them in I was going about 20 mph. Now I gps'd it with my wife and me at 30.4 mph. So for me it was worth it. If I had an older rearend (before 97) I probably would not have bought them.

There is another drawback to them besides the cost. High speed gears work like shifting a manual transmission into 3rd gear and leaving it. Yes you will go faster, but you loose lowend power, a lot of it. Mess with the throttle adjustments to get the speed you can live with and you will likely be happier and still have cash in your pocket. Carefull not to rev. the engine for long periods of time, or you will be back on the forum asking about rebuild kits!

Qtr has a point there you do lose the bottom end to a degree. I put a power spring in my driven clutch to help get that back. Now I'm going to send it off to Tom and get it machined. See now that $239.99 is now more like $4-500. Imo I would do what I can before ordering them. If I would have known it was going to be this much I would have bought a good used rear end first.

I have a set of 8:1's in my EZGO gasser.. The 23 Vanny has more than enough torque to churn them.. I wasn't looking for speed as much as I wanted a lower engine speed at the speeds I normally run at.. I can cruise all day at 25 MPH with the Vanny loafing along at 3200 RPM.. It makes for a very relaxing ride around the neighborhood...

Ive got 6:1's in a two seater club car with a fe350.... with the gears and front clutch machined i can get 41mph out of it with the limiter still on it.....yea you would loose a good bit of low end torque but in my neighborhood i use my cart like my car and i wanted it to be quick... but because of the 350 its still pretty fast out the hole...

Ok, let me try to get this straight, more speed, less low end, I want to leave this cart bone stock. so that why i was looking at the gears. Its a 1992 gasser. right now i'm at 14 mph, what i've read 8 to 1 will get me about 24 mph and 6 to 1 about 34 mph. I'm still on the fence about this whole thing.
