Zone electric golf cart 12volt tap
My pal has a zone electric golf cart. He wants me to make a 12 volt circuit in the cock pit on the dash like a cigarette lighter adapter. In lieu of just running a couple wires off one of the batteries to do it is there any place to grab 12 volts?

Re: Zone electric golf cart 12volt tap
A Zone should have a converter for 12 volts to run the lights already. I think most Zones had a radio under the dash that ran on 12 volts. And in the wire bundle behind the key switch I think there is a switched 12 volt wire. If you pull the key switch panel out at least put it in tow mode or disconnect the batteries until the wires are clear. I think I read that you can short the controller if you hit a ground with the wrong wire.
