Correct because it wouldn’t work as a switch :) The switch passes power from the live side to the switched side which goes to the relay/contactor and energizes that circuit to close the contactor and pass power to controller and motor. Unless I am missing something in translation. I do not speak Yamaha, just “relaying” my thoughts on the basics

I got ya it was jsut weird because in the directions I recieved it never said to do that. However it worked for about 216 miles then quit. So I am getting mixed thoughts from everyone. lol. I do appreciate the feedback.

I guess with this configuration the blue wire from the pedal is the activation switch. So not necessary to have configured your way, however I just want my cart to work. I don't care if I lose life on solenoid if its always open while carts on. How much can it really harm it? Seems like all the clicking on and off would cause more wear and tear. I am new at this so what do I know lol
