Default Used Badboy buggie Should I buy?

Howdy guys,

I came across a four seater 4x4 badboy for not a lot of money. '05 or '06 not sure yet. Dealer told the owner the controller was shot and would be over 2k to fix. So he is selling.

The batteries are new (probably what took out the controller). It has the 2 motor setup (don't know which ones yet).

I am thinking for his asking price of 1500 it might be a good start to a fun project.

I know the controllers are junk, so I might replace it with a pair of alltrax controllers.

Would you buy one of these for a project?

For $1500.00 yes if it's the controller only and Alltrax should have a controller for it.

So the big issue seems to be the wiring harness, not a big deal for me. Ill build my own anyway, and make my own diagram. I have heard of axle problems and I am going to see about getting those before I buy it.

I like the idea of two motors. Use only one for flat ground and both for mud and hills as needed.

So I officially have an addiction now. I bought the cart. My wallet is lighter just thinking about what I want to do.

Batteries are not even broken in yet, all cells are full, all reading about %85 charge. I will start charging them in pairs tomorrow afternoon.6 volt Continental batteries.

I am thinking about adding 4 more six volts of the same brand, just cause I am sick in the head. Have a lead on 2; 72 volt, 450 amp alltrax controllers for $400 each shipped.

Motors are d and d. The label says 36 volt 6 hp. It is a 48 volt cart.

Carts are worse than drugs!

Side note; I love my wife, I showed her the ad for the cart and she asked " can you fix it? That looks like fun".
