Re: 95 ds barely moves
Your is the same. They existed thru week 14. Then 15 thru 52 had the 3-wire designed CVP (Potbox) and used a Silver controller. Those were 5k-0 ohm throttles.

Re: 95 ds barely moves
My second attachment did not stick. These should be the values that I read on the individual resistors for this set up ?

Re: 95 ds barely moves
Yes, but more importantly look at the resistor(s) integrity. When they fail, the wire is usually broken away from the porcelain. You have to look very closely.
Look at one of mine (zoom in). 2nd resistor from the bottom. |

Re: 95 ds barely moves
VT if it's any help, that MSP should be the same as the early to mid 90's 36volt if you are looking for parts. As Nole pointed out, these were only used on the 48 volt carts for a brief period in early 95.

Re: 95 ds barely moves
Thanks guys. I can't say enough good things about this forum and the service I get from the site sponsors! Still trying to find the time to finish testing - this seems easy compared to the Regen 1 I fought my way thru- :-)

Re: 95 ds barely moves
So I removed the vglide - cleaned all connections, cleaned all the copper contacts and the output now measures 0-5k as it should. I put everything back in and still the same result. The cart barely moves in forward and reverse. I did notice that the cables from the forward/reverse switch get hot and the control also gets warm to the touch after about 30 seconds of trying to move. Thoughts as to where to go next ?

Re: 95 ds barely moves
Were you reading those ohms at the controller pins?
