Tires??
Hey all
Tire question. I am looking for a set of tires, 22x11-12. I run the cart 100% on crushed gravel at slow speed ~10mph. The gravel is eating the set of Sahara classics on the cart now, chunking and cuts to the tread. Anyone have an opinion or comments on what brand, tread pattern, wear that will last longer? I have maybe 2 yrs on those tires now. John |

Re: Tires??
The Sahara classic tires don't hold up well on rough surfaces. I have those on our maintenance cart and they are done in two years. But they have the best grip I've found in a golf cart sized tire when you really need the grip for grass, light mud, etc.
If all you run is gravel, Look into some of the Lawn and garden style tires, especially a higher ply rating like a 6 ply. Most "golf cart" tires are going to be 4 ply, which is pretty thin. More plys means more resistance to punctures and cuts. |
