Default Larger tires hurt components?

I was gifted a 2010 Precedent Excel which will be put to use around our small farm carting produce and gardening tools. Nothing too strenuous. My plans are to upgrade to an Alltrax controller but that’s going to have to wait until we sell more tomatoes and squash.

In the meantime I would like to get it into service ASAP. I replaced the original batteries with Trojans and it moves...sort of. The tires attempt to hold air. Since I’m going to have to replace the tires I figured I might as well go bigger to get some ground clearance. I’m going to order a 6” All-sports A-arm lift and 22” ATs TBD. As much as I’d like to go ahead and get the Alltrax it’s just not in the budget or timeframe at this time.

Will running the taller tires on the otherwise stock cart do damage to any of the components; motor, controller, etc.? I realize I’ll be trading off torque until I get the Alltrax but I don’t want to fry anything in the meantime.

Unless your stalling it on hills or something it should be fine.

it will be lacking in the torque department from the lift and tires until the required tomato and squash sales happens

Agreed torque will be lacking, and I would also add that if your trying to stretch out your stock components as long as possible I would suggest upgrading to larger wiring such as 4 gauge or 2 gauge since your eventually going to have to anyway when you go to Alltrax. This will help with any heat issues associated with trying to get those larger tires moving with stock components. Just a suggestion that won't take to much out of your budget.

Appreciate the reassurance. I'll go ahead and upgrade the wires.

Stalling on hills, that's funny, the biggest hill we have around here are prairie dog mounds.

I'll take it easy until I get those tomatoes and squash peddled.
