What Kind of Lift is This?
95 DS 48v
This is how the cart came when I bought it. The front looks like they chopped the frame and used "S" brackets to lift it, and in the back it looks like they use longer hangers on the leafs to raise it. Is this a decent lift kit, or just junk? It needs some TLC on the suspension and I'm wondering if I should just do bushings and new leafs or do I need to go a whole new direction? Just want to give it some new life. |

Re: What Kind of Lift is This?
The "Z Bar" type lift used to be more common, because it was about the cheapest way to lift a Club Car. Not terribly sophisticated, but it works. Lacks the adjustability of many of the Long Travel and A-Arm lifts, but retains the stock steering geometry.

Re: What Kind of Lift is This?
So if I wanted to replace the bushings and shocks and all , I would just use stock replacements?
Thanks for the fast replies. |

Re: What Kind of Lift is This?
Thanks!
So, do the shocks on the rear in the pic look to be too short since they extended the hangers to lift the cart? Would I replace them with stock parts again as well? Sorry if redundant I just want to make sure I don't have to buy parts twice Also, do any of the site sponsors have a suspension rebuild kit available for this cart? |

This and some HD leaf springs and I should be good to go? Anything else I should replace/repair under there while I take this on? |

Re: What Kind of Lift is This?
Why do you need HD springs? Depending on what you're doing, don't forget about the dual stage springs...I didn't know they existed until AFTER I ordered the stiff HD springs.

Re: What Kind of Lift is This?
I read on here where most go back with HD springs to mitigate the sagging that comes so soon with the other springs. So I figured I would too.
