Club Car half speed.
Hi, I am have troubles with this Club Car Carryall 232. It seems to only go about half the speed that it is supposed to do. I have charged the buggy over night and the volt meter says it's fully charged.
I have tested each battery individually with my multi meter and they all read 8v. I have not load tested the batteries. The batteries are well hydrated and all battery cables are in good condition. I am not sure if this buggy has an adjustable speed control or not. I have a couple of pictures of the controller below. Thanks for any help. |

Re: Club Car half speed.
Attach the meter to the pack mains and drive, tell us what the pack drops to under load.
8.0 volts is below 50% capacity You might have a battery problem |

I did a load test on the batteries, when the buggy was stationery the reading was 50volts, whilst under load the reading was hovering around 47.7volts. Lowest reading dropping to 47.1, this was going up a hill.

Still have this problem. Strangely whilst driving, if the key is turned off and then on again apparently the buggy regains normal operational speed until it comes to a stop again.

Re: Club Car half speed.
I wonder if the speed sensor is starting to go bad?
It may not be totally bad, but hit and miss... |
