Battery light will not stay on

You are saying yourself the brown wire that comes from the obc is for the battery warning light. That's what the wiring diagram shows. The only time the warning light lights up is when something is wrong about the batteries etc.
These wires should not be used for a SOC meter.

Hook the SOC meter one side to pack neg. the other to cold side of key switch, then it will come on when you turn the key on. Or you could use pack neg. to one side and pack pos. to the other.

Thank you, I understand now when I took the center console out there was two wires one had popped loose and I didn't know which one it was so I looked at the wiring diagram and saw a brown wire going to a battery warning indicator and thought that was the right one, but there was a black wire coming from the negative pack with the same terminal style I didn't know where it went thought it went to the ground block so I pulled it out. I'll change it back over in the morning. thank you, muddog
