Default Front seat back relocation brackets? Need a little more room.

Hey, I'm new here, thank you in advance if you can point me in the right direction.

As a big guy, its a tight fit for me between the seat and the steering wheel. I have a 04 Club Car Precedent. I was originally going to shorten the wheel, but then I noticed that the front seat back brackets .. sit forward quite a bit and I can probably move it back a bit with different brackets if they exist. The car is new to me, so I don't know its history. It has a rear flip seat that I got rid of, and the brackets that used to hold the rear flip seat to the uprights for the roof and front seat back are "triangle" shaped and seems like the seat back could really be moved back an inch or two with different brackets. I did a little poking around and I'm not really finding a whole lot of info for sear relocation brackets or anything of that nature.

Sooo, does anyone make these things or do I have to get them fabbed up?

I've read where some have complained that the back ending up closer to the steering wheel after installing rear seats and new rear roof supports. You MIGHT gain an inch or two by going back to OEM supports. I'd wait for others to confirm.

Hmm, that would make sense. Just for confirmation, the side arm rails for the front seat extend about 2" behind the very back of the seatback (which leads me to believe that the seatback is a few inches forward more so than normal)

The uprights themselves are metal square tube, not the plastic look that im seeing on google images. Is this whole assembly something that i can find used every now and then due to upgrades, or think I would be better off just getting the existing metal bracket stuff modified? (I'm not seeing anything on ebay or craigslist currently)

I'd try local cart shops for the parts taken off when rear seats are installed.

We had this problem on a ds and it was the particular manufacture that made the seat that caused it. We looked at another one and it had the distance back. Rather than buy another seat we just got out the saw and a welder.

I can confirm some kits did move the seat back forward and I was always uncomfortable in these carts. Ended up modifying the one Ezgo I got that did that.

The OP did not specify if he has a rear seat kit or just a stock seat. If it's a stock seat, there is no way to move the seat back much without cutting into the upper bag well and roof support structure. Then he would have to fabricate a way to attache seat as the stock seat uses plastic forms and two 10mm bolts to fit into the roof and bag well support structure.
