Yea I know.

In my defense, I'm not the one who burned it up.

So, what motor now?

Probably to damaged to send it to plum quick.

I'd like to keep my speed near what it was and I don't want to start adding new controller, etc.

Armature needs rewound- that gets pricey.

From there, new brush set.

Whats a new PQ motor cost?

I think a Bandit is $325 without core.

true that.
I've been in contact with them for a while looking for an AMD motor Bandit.
I'd prefer not to send them a POS GE motor. I'd just keep the GE motor, but they never have cores.

I'm just going to go with the Admiral that Revolution sells me!

So was the PQ Bandit motor that got burnt up in this thread a GE or AMD? Hard to tell from the third picture because it appears the speed sensor might have been removed. If not, then guessing it's a GE.

To the poster, since you went with 4AWG and a new motor/solenoid does that mean you also upgraded the controller? If so, what did you upgrade too?

It is a GE motor, You can tell by the magnet being pressed into the Armature shaft and You can see the bottom of the speed sensor on the picture showing the field coils.

I'm not sure if it had a GE or AMd.

Are GE motors not good?

I'm guessing this is not a good core for pq.

PQ will do a GE motor, but those motors have thin cans and the brushes are quite small compared to the AMD motors. The AMD will hold up much better.

Ok.

Did not want to spend any money but I'll end up with a new motor and controller.

Hope not because I need my money. Might just say forget about it, buy an amd 3294 and be done
