Sorry, I meant 21mph is about right for the Series bandit on stock 18" tires as experienced by 2 friends.

The 23mph on 18" tires translates to 30mph on 23" tires using the speed calculator, so that appears to be normal for that motor.

The biggest factor in spinning a Series motor faster (other than field weakening) is to increase the voltage at the motor.

Batteries, good connections throughout and good cables, the gauge above 4ga is not quite important as the current is not high at top speed.

I do have stock tires, but, when I talked to PQ on the phone and in email is where they told me the estimated speed I would get. That's why I went with the more expensive motor. Understanding "estimate", I thought I would get past the coveted 25mph mark with this. Thought I would be somewhere in the 27-28 range after hearing 28-30.

Ok, I am home checking settings on the controller. I just checked and made sure there were no updates. Max motor amps are set to 500 as well as max battery amps.
Both forward speed sliders are at 100%
reverse is 50%
Throttle rate bottom slider is at 0.5 and the top slider at 12%
Peak amp mode is checked
The linearized throttle position is set to standard. I messed around with those lines a bit and just set it back to standard for ease of discussion.

When I put it in reverse it will bark the tires with the slightest throttle movement. Forward torque is doable as long as you dont just punch it...that throws your grass in your yard around :-\

Just tested the battery pack after about 10 minutes of testing and it is 51.5 volts

Do not use a slider throttle unless you are using the FN1.
Set throttle to 12.5% and reverse to 50%

Also make sure FN1 is not selected if you are not using an FN1

Make sure both of the FN1 tabs are plugged and the radio button is selected in the software.

Do You mean both the min and max values are set to 100%?

What kind of throttle device are You using?

The max speed reverse setting only works if you are using the "reverse" input on the Controller, which is not standard on Series Club Cars.

I have an electronic go pedal from scottyb controller kit. And yes, both min and max values are currently set at 100..also, I am not using the reverse input. That was not in any instruction that I had seen. Both tabs are plugged in and fn1 is selected. The fn1 switch works.

Sergio he is using a 0-5v hall effect pedal.
I assume you have the Alltrax toolkit
In neutral depress the pedal and verify that the throttle is going to 100% in the monitor section.

In neutral it does not read throttle position. But in forward it reads 100%
