2003 pds reverse buzzer
I just bought a 03 pds ezgo and the reverse buzzer must be disconected or broke. Could someone please let me know where its located so I can see if its unpluged. I read on here somewhere you can tell if it has the speed chip by the number of beeps it makes by putting it in reverse a few times in tow mode ( NOT SURE OF PROSEDURE THOUGH?) Also want it to beep in reverse for safty! Thanks ahead of time...

Re: 2003 pds reverse buzzer
Thanks Bud Man,
I got to it by removing the cup holders "tight sqeeze", it had a wire disconected. I did the reverse to nutral thing 5 times and heard, I think 5 beeps. I think that means I have a speed chip? Can you test the cart this way for problems or do they just beep them selves when theres a problem? |

Re: 2003 pds reverse buzzer
Go here and download the manuals I think it is four beeps if the freedom plug (speed chip) is installed.

Re: 2003 pds reverse buzzer
No problem and good luck and check out this thread lots of good info on the diferent modes the PDS carts can run in, I have tried the freedom mode but where I live mild hill works best for me I like the regen braking.
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...able-chip.html I installed the dual toggle switches and I can now easily select any of the four modes I want. |

Re: 2003 pds reverse buzzer
Here is a copy of the label on the controller cover that is easier to read.
Text at bottom of label explains how to put in Diagnostic mode. Here is a drawing showing the four mode "Chips" and one listing speed and Regen braking level for each. I only added a switch between Pins 1 & 5 since I only use Mild Hill (mostly) and Freedom modes (rarely). I like the Regen barking also. FWIW: If you hold the pedal down enough to keep throttle microswitch closed, you can coast downhill at a little over the max speed for the mode you are in. If you are in a mode with Regen Braking, the controller tries to limit you to 8MPH. |
