Do you have an ohm meter? Since you have the original motor out, check the resistance of the field and armature windings to make sure one of them is not high resistance or open.

Sorry for the late reply, I was out of the country for work, listed below were the results of the ohms test. Anyideas?
DT Set for ohms and make the following measurements: 1. leads on A1 and A2 = 0.00 2. leads on S1 and S2 = 0.00 3. leads on A1 and metal motor case = 1 . 4. leads on A2 and metal motor case = 1 . 5. leads on S1 and metal motor case = 1 . 6. leads on S2 and metal motor case = 1 . |
